Hi, everyone

This is a little bit late this year, so I apologize for that. Ila's been busy with work and real life and I'm bedridden at the moment, so I volunteered to put this together this year - I don't have Ila's mad skillz, but hopefully I can manage some scrapbooking!
I am, however, lazy, and Ila's done a beautiful job the past three years, so I'm going to copy and paste the post from last year with all of the information. I hope to see some beautiful submissions - it's been a fantastic year for Sarah, and 2009 promises to be just as much so!
From last year's post:
You can send everything you want: personal messages, magazines articles, poems, songs, drawings, pictures, graphics... anything that can be printed on paper and put in a book.
Every submission is meant to be a special gift from you to Sarah.
You must send your submission to
aberaboo@msn.com or
avery@sarah-clarke.net. Please, make it very clear in the subject of your email that it is for the birthday project; I receive a lot of spam and I don't wanna delete by mistake on of your emails just because you didn't type anything in the subject line. I will write back to every email I get, so if you don't get any reply from me, it might mean that I didn't receive your email, so you should send it again.
The deadline is February 1st, 2008! Because we're starting a little late, I'll consider an extension to February 7 if it is necessary. But PLEASE try to have any submissions in by the 1st - if you'll need the extension, LET ME KNOW by 2/1/09.Before sending anything, please read the following:- Anything that you send in must be Sarah related or meant for her.
- Please keep everything appropriate. I will be moderating each submission and you will be contacted it is not acceptable.
- Only positive submissions will be accepted: we have to show her that we love her, right?
- You can send in as many things as you like.
- Please send in something creative and from the heart.
- Your submission must be sent to
aberaboo@msn.com or
avery@sarah-clarke.net, and you have to specify in the subject line that it is the birthday project. In the email you also must write your name, your location (city and Country) and, if you want to, your age.
- Once you have sent something, I'll contact you to let you know that I got your email.
About:Fan art:Every fan art can be of her, her movies or both. Drawings are very welcome, too: if you have made something creative for Sarah send it in! You can attach a personal message and birthday wishes, of course.
Graphics:Graphics is everything you can make with your computer, using Photoshop or any other graphic program.
It may be a collage, a manipulation of a picture (nothing negative or bad, though). Send in your computer art and you can attach a personal message and birthday wishes.
Please do not make these graphics too small: if they're too big they can be resized, if they're too small it's a lot more complicated.
Personal messages:If you're not an artistic type or don't feel like doing anything artistic, you can send a personal message wishing Sarah a happy birthday or anything else you like (you can tell her why you like her, how come you got so interested in her, if she has been an inspiration to you, etc.).
Fan pictures:A fan picture is a picture of yourself that you want to send in along with a personal message. Your message and picture will be put together so please send them in at the same time. A fan picture can also be a picture you have taken for Sarah such as photographic art, or a picture of Sarah taken by yourself, or a picture of you and Sarah.
Magazine articles:If you have any magazine articles about Sarah and her career please scan them or write down the text and send them in. A positive article about her movies and/or herself fits the category as well. Other magazine clippings are accepted too! You should add also the name of the magazine and the author of the article.
Songs:Have you written a song for/about Sarah? Send in the lyrics! You will be 100% credited. Also, if you know of a song that you would like to dedicate to Sarah, send in the lyrics and the artist's name.
Poems:Have you written a poem for/about Sarah? Send it in! You will be 100% credited. Also, if you know of a poem that you would like to dedicate to Sarah you can also send it in along with the name of the writer.
Other:Do you have any other idea, or have you created something that doesn't fit any of the category? Send it in anyway! I will email you back to let you know if your submission is appropriate for the scrap book.
FAQ:1. What is a birthday project? It's something that the fans do for their favorite celebrity to send them nice birthday wishes and show that we are fans. This particular birthday project is to do just that by sending Sarah a giant scrap book of the fans warm wishes and to show her your creativeness by sending fan art, poems, songs etc.
2. How is this being sent to Sarah?I'll be sending the scrap book to her fanmail address.
3. How do I submit something?By sending it in an email to
aberaboo@msn.com or
avery@sarah-clarke.net.
4. How many things am I allowed to submit? As much as you want. And you can add 1 personal message each.
5. Who is going to make the scrap book?I'm going to make it this year; I'm Avery, a longtime fan of Sarah's.
6. Why you?Because I know that Sarah appreciates getting these lovely scrapbooks each year, because Ila, who's done it in the past, is busy with real life and there's no reason for her to be stretched thin when I'm stuck in bed sick, and because someone has to do it!
7. Can I see the scrap book once it's done?Of course! I will take pictures of it and put them online, so anyone will be able to see the final product (personal messages won't be readable).
8. Can I tell about this project to my friends?Sure! The more submissions we get, the more the scrap book is going to be cool.
9. When is the project going to be over?February 1st, with a possible extension to February 7th IF NECESSARY. Please try to have your submissions in as soon as possible.
Any other question? Feel free to ask!
